Arguably the prettiest place in North Wales, Llyn Dinas is a wonderful lake surrounded by imposing peaks. Located close to the charming village of Beddgelert, the lake boasts clear waters and a setting to die for. Ideal for doggies who love to swim, it’s the perfect place to keep cool on hotter days and features a mountain stream with waterfalls and rock pools that cascades down the hillside. A pleasant footpath wends its way around the lake and so Llyn Dinas is also a nice place to take a walk. Particularly stunning in Autumn when the gold and copper hues of the foliage create a striking backdrop, this lake is both the perfect swimming pool for dogs and an uplifting destination for their human companions.

A trip to Llyn Dinas can be anything I need it to be. For canines who can’t get enough of the water it is doggie nirvana but the lake is also a wonderful place for older dogs to take things easy. Throw in a session playing in the rock pools and it is possible to spend two hours or more here, revelling in the great outdoors.
